Looks like I have some competition here at the farm… coyotes!

They’re getting into the yard and taking my rabbits.

And they yip, yap and howl all morning and drive… me… CRAZY!

I’ll admit I want the rabbits all to myself…

Why did things have to change?  I don’t like change!

Now I’m going to have to work twice as hard- because let’s face it- coyotes are pretty good bunny hunters!

So things always change and sometimes it’s uncomfortable and scary… but sometimes it’s the kick in the ol’ sitter downer I need to really get busy on those rabbits!

One thing never changes: The incredible service you receive from my mom, Beth, here at All Season Wholesale Growers.

Whether you need quality plants for that particular customer- or a timely delivery for that rushed job- ASWG is ready to accommodate- and service is always friendly and sincere.

Give my mom a call- or better yet- stop by for a tour.

We’d love it.

Until then-

Love, Canela

Hey! Get your hand off my bottom!

Happy New Year, Canela fans!

Let’s make 2012 the best year ever!

I’m going to accomplish this by making a few resolutions:

1. Catch more bunnies. This year’s goal: 1 per week.

2. Eat more cat poop. Since they do this when they see me and run- this should be easily accomplished.

3. Roll in more filth. This might be a tough one. My nursery and house are so clean, there’s little garbage. I always seem to find it, though!

4. Show the people I love that I care more often. That means more joyful jumping and tail wagging. Easy-peasy lemon squeezy!

5. Give the people that shop at All Season Wholesale Growers even better personalized service. No, wait! That’s my owner’s pledge to her esteemed customers!

This year, more than ever, my owner will  make sure all our customers will have their tree and shrub needs met to the best of her ability. I know she cares- look at how happy I am!

All Season Wholesale Growers is your best bet for quality service and quality plants. Come in for some shrubs- and I’ll wag my tail and give you some lovin’ as well.

Until then,

Love, Canela

Season’s Greeting from all your friends at All Season Wholesale Growers!

I couldn’t find pictures of me in Christmas gear, so the Yuletide pitbull photos are my friends…

Do you have any plans for the holidays?

I do.

I’m going to eat. I’m going to open some presents. I’m going to cuddle with my Mom. I’m going to go a little stir crazy- because I’m at home and can’t chase rabbits at the farm. And I’m going to be a little sad.

I’m sad because I miss my best friend, Rudy. Rudy was little, but he was my boss! When he played, I played. When he rested, I rested. I didn’t see him too often, but when I did- we had the time of our lives.

Then Rudy got sick. He didn’t have the energy he once had. He was in a lot of pain. There wasn’t nothing his Dad could to to make him better. And now I miss him terribly.

I hope during this season of reflection and love, everyone takes the time to consider where we would be without the ones we care about so much. Make sure they know how you feel.

Have a safe New Year and hope to see you all in 2012. I think it’s going to be the best year ever for chasing rabbits!

Love, Canela

A warm place to sleep with a soft bed.

Yummy kibble (or bunnies!) every day.

A fresh bowl of water.

Paws to get me where I’m going.

Humans who love me no matter what.

If you think a dog can’t be grateful, just watch me

when you fill up my bowl!

Or when I see you walk through the door.

I’m thankful for the people I love, just like All Season Wholesale

Growers is thankful for its many customers. They love taking care of you-

and wish you the most abundant and peaceful season of gratitude.

They also wanted to make sure you knew they still have plenty of spectacular

Winter and Spring color- lots of pansies and violas in full bloom. Hurry, because it’s going fast!

Until next time,

Love, Canela

I don’t live on the farm, you know…

I live with my mom in Central Phoenix.

I love to explore my surroundings, and did you know there was a lot to see here in South Phoenix?

I was chasing rabbits outside the farm one day and stumbled upon this at about 48th Street and Roeser:

What a crazy conglomeration of folk art and junk!

Who knew there was such a cultural landmark in this corner of the Valley?

We’re proud of our contribution to the culture and beauty of the Valley,

and proud of the high-quality trees, shrubs and seasonal color we sell at

All Season Wholesale Growers. Visit us anytime and we’d be glad to give

you a tour. Maybe you’ll have a chance to visit crazy stacked rock

house too! Until next time…

Fall is here- and it is my muse. A haiku for the season…

Spurge and rogue rabbits

rile and confound the farmer

We’d rather have goats

The advent of Fall has me in a reflective and introspective mood… What is my motivation? What inspires  me to take a big bite out of life?  Is it the smell of bunny? Or a burrito? Or the teasing goats?

I know! It’s the gorgeous shrubs and seasonal color we have at All Season Wholesale Growers.

Let me show you- I’ll give you a personal tour. Bring a burrito.

Four inch burgundy petunias

Let’s face it: It’s too bloody hot to chase rabbits!

So what’s a dog to do?  Keep an eye on production, that’s what!

Who knew it was time to think about Fall?

No this isn’t the fridge at the local ‘cartel’- it’s geraniums! Hundreds of refrigerated cutting waiting to be put into flats…

And these are flats of geraniums and petunias lovingly planted just for our awesome All Season Wholesale Growers customers. Snapdragons, lobelias and pansies are coming soon as well.

They told me they’ll be ready by late September, early October. I can’t wait! That’s when the rabbit hunting gets really good….

They also told me this makes it very convenient, too. Landscapers can pick up their seasonal color and shrubs all in one stop.

Here’s to an abundant Fall and Spring!

I’ve been talking to Cactus Face…

Cactus Face has seen things- crazy things- this Summer.

Temperatures soared to 118 degrees…

The D-backs overtook the Giants…

Lightning lit up the skies on many nights.

And the dust.

On July 5th, Cactus Face thought the end was nigh…

A mile high and 150 miles wide, the wall of dust blanketed south Phoenix.

The sky was blotted out. The street lights were almost invisible. Rain was coming in sideways. Tree limbs were snapping. Sirens were blaring. The whole farm was crawling with hundreds of toads. End times kind of stuff!

By the time it was over, everything including the plants were covered with a 1/4 in. thick layer of mud.

Were we finished? Forever filthy?

Not if Mother Nature had anything to say about  it…

Soon enough the rains came and washed away the dirt and the heartache!

Thanks, Mom!

Come to All Season Wholesale Growers and see what nature (and technology) hath wrought- starting at $1.95 per 1 gallon.

Until next time.

Love,

Canela

Rabbits, cats, rats, birds…

My life is difficult here on the farm- there are so many options, I have to decide what not to chase!

And what about that burrito- is there enough for me, too?

But here is the bottom line- I love burritos. And naps.

I also love the quality plants you’ll receive at my owner’s farm!

Lantana, Yellow Bells, Red Birds and more- all in full bloom and ready for pick up or delivery.

All Season Wholesale Growers- serving the industry cat-free since 2005!

Canela Sez…

A funny thing happened while I was chasing bunnies today… after my nap.

Did you ever notice how fast things grow in the Summer? The 5g Orange jubilees were liners last week! Now they’re retail quality- and in full bloom!

I enjoy the flavor of bunny… almost as much as I enjoy All Season Wholesale Growers’ high quality retail shrubs! Until next time…

Love, Canela
